Carol and Zoe Greenhouse
One day, Carol and Zoe were in the car going to New York, when Carol suggested that Zoe make a website for tweens. Zoe liked this idea, so slowly, Tweensville for Girls was created.
Zoe Greenhouse has had an adventurous and creative life. She was born in Santa Fé, New Mexico, left when she was 2 years old, travelling to India and Thailand where Carol thought they would live, but it was a definite no, then settling in Vermont, 4 hours north of New York. Zoe grew up there, homeschooling and travelling to places like Indonesia, Alaska, Russia, Asia, and many other places. When Carol (her mom) got tired of Vermont, she and Zoe moved to Guatemala, where Zoe went to a Waldorf school. But after two years there, Zoe’s friends either moved away or changed schools, so Carol and Zoe once again moved away. Carol didn’t want to go back to Vermont yet, and since Zoe was already bilingual (English and Spanish), Zoe and Carol wanted her trilingual. So they went to France. First Aix-en-Provence, but they didn’t want to live there. Next they went to Paris just to see it. They started looking for schools in France (Zoe wanted to go to school), and they found an International school in a town an hour south of Paris called Fontainebleau. They checked the town out and liked it. After a lot of deciding, they moved there. School started and Zoe found friends and made a life there.
Right now, Zoe is doing very well in French, and most of the other subjects, too.
Zoe likes to read, bike, listen to music, hang out with her friends, email and Skype with her friends in other countries, watch movies, swim, act, dance, draw, cook, bake, sing, and learn French.
Carol works for the Intelligent Optimist (formally Ode), a company that puts out magazines and courses about all the positive initiatives making the world a better place.
